Health and Safety Plan for In-Person Events as of 8 November 2022
We look forward to welcoming you to Las Vegas for PMI's Global Summit 2022. Our goal is to hold a safe event for all attendees.
Wearing masks is not required; we do encourage attendees to wear a mask if desired and request that all attendees be accepting of the choices of others. During the event, PMI is taking steps to ensure the health and safety of everyone. Some of the steps we are taking include:
- Sanitizing equipment that is shared by our speakers
- Wiping down food station areas regularly
- Daily cleaning of session rooms
- Hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue
PMI event attendees will be asked to comply with any local, federal and public health guidelines (i.e. CDC) as well as venue requirements in place at the time of the event. Attendees are encouraged to take precautions to protect themselves and acknowledge and respect the health and safety preferences of others. PMI will continue to evaluate what is best for event attendees to ensure we meet safely and that attendees are comfortable. Please bookmark this page and check back regularly for updates, and keep in mind that health and safety protocols may evolve as an event approaches.
At registration, all attendees must attest and agree to the following:
PROOF OF VACCINATION or NEGATIVE TEST RESULT
I will provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Proof demonstrates I am fully vaccinated, having received my primary series of COVID-19 vaccines and within 14 days from the start of the event.
OR (updated as of 16 September 2022)
If unvaccinated, I will provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (PCR -polymerase chain reaction) taken within 48 hours of the start of the PMI event. I understand all cost(s) for testing are my responsibility.
Vaccination proof or negative test results will be verified using a secure third-party vendor. Instructions to be provided closer to the event.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AS TO COVID-19
I understand that COVID-19 is a worldwide pandemic that presents a high risk of contagion. I understand that my in-person participation at this PMI Event will involve personal contact with others which may expose me to infection or illness from COVID-19.
I voluntarily accept all such risk of infection and illness from COVID-19. I agree that I am solely responsible for any injury to myself or any person that I come in contact with to the extent arising out of my contracting COVID-19, including but not limited to illness, disability or death. I further agree that I will not hold PMI or any of its employees, agents, representatives or volunteers responsible for any injury, loss, damage, claim, cost or expense of any kind arising out of my contracting COVID-19 from attending this PMI Event.
DAY OF TRAVEL
I will refrain from traveling and attending the event if I have been exposed or if I am experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
DURING THE EVENT
I acknowledge that while at the event I must comply with all set procedures – any federal, local, venue and public health guidelines (i.e. CDC) – to reduce the spread of illness. If, during the event, I experience any symptoms of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell I will report the symptoms immediately to the venue and PMI Staff and isolate in my hotel room until further instructions are provided.
POST EVENT
If I am diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days of returning from the event, I will inform PMI at events@pmi.org.
